Dalstrong Knife Review 2021 – Dalstrong Knives Product Lines

Dalstrong is relatively young compared to other top knife brands. They have made a huge impact in the industry quickly and it didn’t take long for them to do so. They are well-known for their beautiful kitchen knives, which feature many of the same high-quality materials as the “big guys”.

They offer excellent customer service and will go out of their way to please customers, even offering satisfaction guarantees. Dalstrong has six series of knives and is constantly adding to them.
Below, we’ll have a dalstrong knife review. Also, we also will introduce you to the top of the best dalstrong knives on the market. Let’s start!

Dalstrong Knives Product Lines

Dalstrong has produced 6 knife series, each with a unique style. This Dalstrong knife review included all six of Dalstrong’s lines.

Dalstrong Knife Review

  • Shogun

Every knife in Dalstrong’s Shogun series is subject to a 60-day manufacturing cycle. They are made with Damascus-steel blades and military-grade G-10 synthetic handles.

Shogun knives are designed to compete with more popular Japanese knives like Shun, Miyabi, Kamikoto. They perform almost as well as their more expensive counterparts, according to my experience.

  • Phantom

The Dalstrong Phantom Series knives feature a high-carbon steel AUS-8 that is high in Chromium. This helps to resist corrosion and staining. The blade’s beautiful, engraved logo is a nice touch. Dalstrong also uses the Honbazuke Sharpening Process to achieve a razor-sharp edge with the Phantom Series blade.

You will notice a red spacer at the bolster as you move from blade to handle. With the D-shaped pakkawood handle, weighted cap and ergonomically designed cab, the Phantom Series has a great balance.

  • Gladiator

The Dalstrong Gladiator Series knives have a more European or Western-style knife design than the ones mentioned. These knives are made from high-carbon German steel and feature wider blade angles. They also have a heavier full support. This series is designed to compete with J.A. Wusthof knives. Henckels, both German businesses, has something to offer.

The Gladiator Series knives from Dalstrong are a great choice for most households. They are still high quality, and they have the same style as Americans. However, they are very affordable.

  • Crusader

The Crusader knife design is ideal for a paring knife, which is odd. The Crusader Paring Knife’s lightweight design makes it simple to use for precise, small cuts. They are extremely hygienic and received a perfect rating by the National Safety Foundation.

  • Shadow Black

Dalstrong’s Shadow Black series is the best knife for those who struggle to decide whether they want to be a ninja chef or a chef when they are young.

Although they may look a bit gimmicky at first glance, the Shadow Black series knives’ materials are excellent. Although they’re not my cup, I cannot ignore the fact that they’re very affordable due to their sharpness and long-lasting durability.

  • Omega

The Omega series knives by Dalstrong are their finest work and most expensive. The unique “hyper-steel” blend is used to forge each knife. It has a higher hardness and sharpness than standard steel, but it doesn’t affect its durability. You’ll feel less drag with each cut thanks to the precision-carved “liquid” pattern.

Dalstrong Knife Review

A series is a collection of knives made in a particular way. Each brand offers a wide range of knives. This section will highlight Dalstrong’s most-sold knives from their most popular series.

1. DALSTRONG Chef Knife – 8″ – Shogun Series X

Shogun is one of their most beautiful series. These are Japanese-style set with AUS-10V steel. This is a very well-done style. This is a similar design to VG-10 but Dalstrong has layered it in high-carbon steel which makes it more difficult than normal.

This makes it more fragile and the majority of the blades in this series are thinner to ensure precision. These knives are very delicate and must be handled with care. However, they can still work well as long as you treat them properly.

There are many different kinds of knives available in the Shogun series. There are 30 knives in the Shogun series. This includes steak knives. They currently sell two sets of the Shogun series: one 3-piece paring knife set and one 5-piece set in an Acacia wood block.

  • Beautiful steel
  • Great edge retention

  • It’s quite expensive
  • Brittle steel is also known as the hard steel

2. DALSTRONG Knife Block Set – 5PC – Shadow Black Series

These knives are amazing! Dalstrong claims they were inspired by the stealth fighter. They’re perfect for anyone who wishes they could be ninjas, according to Dalstrong. The black knives and angular handle might sound a bit odd, but you can read our Dalstrong Shadow Black Review below. You’ll see that these knives are made from high-quality German steel and G10 handles. These knives will look great in your kitchen. This set is unique and you won’t find it anywhere else.

  • Uniquely cool knives that you won’t find anywhere else
  • Basic knives are covered

  • Coolness factor is more expensive than other knives of similar quality.
  • This set includes only 5 knives.

3. DALSTRONG Knife Block – 8 Piece Gladiator Series

This set is the most common of all the Dalstrong options. This set is their cheapest, but the majority of users find them to be quite comfortable. Some people may find the longer knives a little too heavy, but once they get used to it you won’t notice. The knives are also lighter, making it more difficult to cut tougher vegetables.

This is not ideal for western-style kitchen knives. It’s fair to allow for some flexibility in the amount of the set’s 8 pieces that are under $300. I love that this set includes a small block made from solid acacia. This is what I consider the main selling point. This block is my favorite out of all the ones on this list. It’s small enough that it can fit into almost any kitchen.

If you are looking for a specific color, the entire Gladiator series is a great option. Although Dalstrong is constantly changing their lineup, you can still get Gladiator sets in green, red and white as well as blue and black.
