“The mother-and-daughter team of chef Myung Ja Kwak and Jenny Kwak, opened Do Hwa, an authentic Korean restaurant, at 55 Carmine Street…the interior evokes a traditional Korean him with Korean design elements such as a dimmed bare-bulb lighting and stacked hangari pots used for fermenting kimchi. Seating is for 64, including five tables for four designed with smokeless barbecue pits enabling diners to grill their own meats.”
